Le Clos D'Augusta

We had most wonderful lunch at Le Close d'Augusta. Highly recommend for dining. The service was impeccable, the waiter very kind (I can't remember his name but he was very attentive) and the food was so very delicious!

This is our go to restaurant in Bordeaux. The food is beautifully prepared and presented and there is an excellent range of choices including a very reasonably priced lunch menu as well as the à la carte choices. Service is courteous, unobtrusive and well paced. The ambience is calm and peaceful. We will definitely be returning.

Thus is a superb classic French restaurant. The food is imaginative and sublime. We each ordered the 4 course meal which was a very reasonably priced 60 pp. Dinner courses were punctuated with an amuse bûche, palate cleansing surprises between courses and an extra sweet served with the check. I cook a lot, I enjoy cooking. The amount of work, skill and devotion put into the preparation and serving of the courses was mind blowing. It was the best meal, best dining experience during our 10 day trip. When I go back to Bordeaux, I will return to this lovely gem.

We were on day 5 of our 16 day honeymoon France and Italy venture. We walked the 20 min from our hotel to The Clos D’Augusta restaurant and were a bit skeptical based on the part of town. We arrived and were so pleasantly surprised as we walked into the restaurant; truly an oasis. Plenty of indoor seating however we were seated out back in the beautiful courtyard with a wonderful tropical garden. Unfortunately we speak very little French but had an exceptional young waiter who walked us thru the prefix menu. Each course was exceptional with a variety of selections to choose from. We highly recommend the visit if in the area.

We loved this restaurant, interior was interesting and very welcoming. Although the garden wasn't open, our maitre, d served us aperitifs which was delightful. Food was excellent, beautiful presentation and full of flavour. Service was excellent.
